In colder months Eskifjörður has its own ski resort with some of the best views in the region. Ski or snowboard down the slope above a majestic fjord on a crisp, sunny day. Ski passes are sold at the hotel and we store your skis on site.
Boat excursions to the islands of Reyðarfjörður are not to be missed. Kayaking, fishing, hiking, horse riding, history tours and local tastings can all be arranged. Just ask our staff and we will set it up.
The protected Hólmanes peninsula between Eskifjörður and Reyðarfjörður is known for its birdlife and easy walks. Reindeer graze in the hills above town most of the year.
Bring your own car to Iceland. The Smyril Line ferry from Denmark docks in Seyðisfjörður, 40 minutes away, with a stop in the Faroe Islands on the way.
